The Peculiar Manicule

Sometimes I stumble on a really awesome site to bookmark and refer back to for inspiration and I wanted to share!

The Peculiar Manicule is an awe-inspiring archive of 1960s and 70s design, typography, ephemera, psychedelia, op & pop art, and mod miscellanea The vintage collection includes four main galleries– books & magazines, ephemera, typography, greeting cards and more paper playthings.

I have always had an obsession for the unique style of pop art-infused psychedelia designs from the late 1960s and early 70s. The collection features wonderfully weird examples of late mid-century design and illustration.

My favorite places to find inspiration are exploring new cities, museums, vintage books, and being out and about, but for those times when you must resort to the internet for inspiration, sometimes you need new sources besides Pinterest or Behance. The Peculiar Manicule really helps scratch that inspiration itch. There is something about the 60s and 70s design that really gives me a boost of energy to explore some new funky styles and colors. Sometimes I feel like I was born in the wrong era.

I pulled a few of my favorite items from the archive here.
